What is the best Charge Blade in Monster Hunter Rise? ›

The Ikaji Immortal is one of the most powerful charge blades in the game at 240 base attack. It also has a 16 point thunder elemental bonus which can be bolstered with additional Rampage Skills. When looking at general and overall damage, the Ikaji is one of the best charge blades around.

Sword charge: When your shield is charged press ZR+A, then hold X until it's fully charged and release. You can also charge shield or sword really quickly after a successful silkbind block (ZL + A) since all of yoir phials get filled by it.

This is activated by pressing ZL +X. Uses a Wirebug to launch your forward while your charge blade switches to axe form. While in motion, monster attacks won't knock you back or stun you. This is activated by pressing ZL + A.

When it comes to Charge Blade, the best choice for hunters is Safi's Shattershield, which boasts 972 base Attack, stellar Sharpness in the white level, 5% Affinity, and 120 Blast damage, as well as an Impact phial.

The Longsword IS the best weapon in Monster Hunter Rise full stop and Sunbreak didn't change that. It's not the easiest for new players but is devastating once you master it.

Charge Blade or Switch Axe? DPS wise, Charge Blade is much more powerful. But learning curve is much higher meaning you'll probably get better results earlier on with the Switch Axe. Switchaxe is pretty fun.

Charging the sword involves mostly the same steps, except you press △ instead of R2. Hold the button down until the shield compresses, then let it go to unleash an overhead slash that charges your sword. Learning this form of animation canceling is mandatory as it is a key part of using the Charge Blade.

Performing the Shield Charge by canceling the SAED will grant you Red Shield instead of Yellow Shield. Red Shield has more benefits than Yellow Shield in the forms of better Guarding potential, more Axe attack damage, and Phial Explosions whenever you Guard or GP an attack.

To perform the Savage Axe Slash, when using an Amped Element Discharge or Super Amped Element Discharge, hold down L2. This will perform an upward slash that changes your Axe into a spinning wheel of death known as power axe mode. Each consecutive swing while in this state will use stored phials.

Alternatively, there's also a Focus Camera which will let you cycle through targeting all the large monsters in your area by pressing the right stick. So, if you're hunting a Great Izuchi, pressing the right stick will target that monster, and when you get close your camera will automatically lock onto it.

No clutch claw, instead you have wire bugs. or use them for Silkbind Attacks, weapon specific moves. The Clutch Claw was one of the worst additions to any game I can think of recently.

Scream in the Night is one of the best Charge Blades in Monster Hunter Rise due to its attack rating, phial type, and 40% affinity rating. This is the perfect Charge Blade for any hunt at this stage of the game.

Greatsword. The Greatsword is hands down the best solo weapon in Monster Hunter World. Its high damage combos and charged attacks allow hunters to quickly stagger and knock down monsters. While slow and cumbersome, in the hands of a skilled hunter, the Greatsword dominates one-on-one monster fights.
