with Xfinity I spent HOURS AND HOURS on the phone with customer service people who insisted they were the highest-level decision-makers I could possibly talk to, that the problem was indeed ridiculous but there was nothing they could do, but they would try X and get back to me.

we got a $150 gift card from Lowe's, on top of a full refund, to make up for the fact that they spent 2 weeks failing to deliver a washer & dryer we ordered. (We ordered from a local business instead - much better!). And last year BBB solved an infuriating problem with Xfinity.

@tenthmuse I have Google Fiber. I haven’t had a single issue since it was installed and even though the speed I am paying for is technically the same (up to 1gbps), effectively it seems faster (and tests seem to confirm this) than I got from Comcast.
